Relevant Knowledge removal instructions:
1. First of all, download recommended anti-malware software and run a full system scan. It will detect and remove this infection from your computer. You may then follow the manual removal instructions below to remove the leftover traces of this browser hijacker. Hopefully you won't have to do that.
2. Go to the Start Menu. Select Control Panel → Add/Remove Programs.
If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, select Control Panel → Uninstall a Program.

3. Search for Relevant Knowledge in the list. Select the program and click Change/Remove button.
If you are using Windows Vista/7, click Uninstall up near the top of that window.

4. Restart your computer. Relevant Knowledge should be gone. If it's still on your computer, please end RelevantKnowledge's process using Task Manager (rlvknlg.exe) and delete files from C:\Program Files\RelevantKnowledge\ folder manually.

It's possible that an infection is blocking anti-malware software from properly installing. Before saving the selected program onto your computer, you may have to rename the installer to iexplore.exe or winlogon.exe. Don't forget to update the installed program before scanning.

Hey Anon. I had the same problem at first, but following the uninstall instructions seems to have worked.
I injected a trojan to the program to install a trojan at their end.....hahaha, I got their ip's and some more info...lol then they found out what I did I terminated my connection....i sent them a network message asking how they liked MY survey...lol

Thank you for the instructions. I am not to suave on virus & trojan, etc I think I got it all uninstalled
Thank you. This material is very useful... Now I got it uninstalled.
Following the uninstall procedure above worked for me.
And knowing which registry entries were affected was useful for checking after unisnstall that my registry was clean of RelevanKnowledge - which it was.
Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for this information... I noticed this "guest" some time ago but didn`t have any idea about its intentions. It acts like other programs, even my anti-virus didn`t warn me..
Just one question.. Does it monitor financial transactions and browsing habits only? What about my privacy on social networks? Or documents in my computer?
Thank you very much for this information. I noticed this "guest" some time ago, unfortunately having no idea about its intensions.. It`s been inconspicuous, not showing up almost at all.
I have one question - does it interest only in browsing habits and financial transactions? Is it able to infiltrate into personal information on social networks? Or into documents in computer?
Only in browsing habits and it can't infiltrate into your personal files or network. Don't worry about that. Some antivirus vendors may not even detect it as spyware or potentially unwanted application.
I don't know how I got RelevantKnowledge but it's on my machine. I uninstalled the program from the control panel but I checked c:\program files and it's still there. It won't let me delete it manually. What do I do?
Relevant Knowledge was included in a free program I downloaded over at TuCows (and elsewhere) The program was a MP4 to MP3 converter.
I didn't notice it in the Eula, but it is there.
I think I still have this bug on my computer although I've used MalwareBytes, Emisoft Anti Malware and Super Anti Spyware remover.
RK seems to be gone for now but I thought I got rid of it before. And I dont have that free software MP$ to MP3 anymore.
LOL yeah. that Stupid MP4 to MP3 converter. I knew it.
Is it weird that after I uninstalled it, there's no file called Relevant Knowledge? I can't find it in my Program Files at all.
I Got it from a flac to mp3 converter, it was no match for windows 8 XD
To delete the folder go into command prompt and type: rmdir c:\Progra~1\RelevantKnowledge /s
This will prompt you Delete Y OR N? Type Y.
Gone...
It says I need the adminstrator's approval to delete the file..... I am the administrator its my laptop......
nice!!! it din't work whit add and remove programs buth whit CCleaner its gone!!! thanks
I think spyware is not the right term becasuse software is installed with user's knowledge and permission and can be removed easily using uninstall program from the control panel. It's not malicious. It is just a program that gathers some information about user's browsing habits. It is a genuine piece of software.
True, it would be better described as a malware. They don't make it easy for us to know we are installing this software and for that, I think it can be called spyware.
Relevantknowledge is not a virus. It is a genuine software. If you find it annoying, you can uninstall it from control panel. You can read more about this software on their website relevantknowledge.com

hahaha wicked! ^_^
I have seen people complaining about it but honestly speaking it's not a virus. The software is used to measure online activity. I also thought it to be a virus initially but then found their website relevantknowledge.com. I did not have any problem in uninstalling it.
easy to uninstall thankfully - i picked it up with the free version of leawo avi converter
A program like RelevantKnowledge that is installed without your knowledge or consent (even when sneakily written in the eula of a totally unrelated piece of software), and then registers all your browsing behaviour, IS malware and certainly NOT genuine software. No matter how many "Privacy Verified" and "VeriSign Trusted" icons are displayed on their website (which always makes me suspicious).
RelevantKnowledge is also included in cShutdown_freeware from Chameleon-apps.com. So much for it being freeware!
only take the user control then u can remove it
It got onto my PC with VLC player.
I'm still trying to remove it.
how to remove rlls.dll? I followed the instructions but I still can't remove it..
I got my copy with mp3tag. Spybot caught it quickly and Revo killed it dead. If it isn't spyware, as some claim, it's certainly sneakware!! There was no sign when I installed mp3tag that it had RelevantKnowledge attached.
Anyone notice how the way to remove this problem is only availble from one company and them alone. Also only if you PAY FOR IT!
omg, thank you so much! :D
